# Privacy policy

## What we collect

We collect your email address, account credentials, balance, API key information, transaction records, and basic technical information needed to operate and secure the service. We may also process API request metadata and usage totals.

## How we use information

We use information to provide accounts, authenticate requests, calculate usage, maintain balances, prevent abuse, support users, and improve reliability.

We do not use your API data, including your prompts and responses, to train models.

## Payments and providers

Our payment provider processes checkout and payment information. Mistbeam receives transaction details needed to manage your payments and balance, but does not store full payment card numbers. Other service providers may process limited information on our behalf.

## Website analytics

We use self-hosted Umami analytics to understand website visits and where visitors leave during registration and checkout. Reports include pages visited, referring websites, browser and device information, approximate location, and successful registration, email verification, and checkout initiation events. Analytics do not collect form contents, email addresses, passwords, API keys, or URL query strings.

Umami does not use tracking cookies. IP addresses are processed to derive anonymous visitor identifiers and approximate location, rather than stored in analytics reports. We honor the browser's Do Not Track setting.

We also use self-hosted session replays to understand clicks, scrolling, and confusing interactions on public pages and registration or login forms. Form fields and embedded frames are excluded from recordings. We do not record signed-in sessions, dashboard pages, email verification links, payment provider pages, or pages with URL query strings or fragments. Recordings are limited to five minutes per page and are accessible only through our authenticated analytics dashboard.

## Retention and security

We do not retain your prompts or responses long term. We retain account information, payment records, and usage records while your account is active and as needed for operations, security, accounting, and legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

## Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
